Getting Off Auto is a 2 session class meant to start learning the basics about what the other settings on your camera are all about. We will be learning about ISO ("film" speed), aperture priority, and shutter priority. This is a great class for someone who loves using their digital SLR camera and wants to explore photography. You must own a digital SLR camera and have basic knowledge of using it on its automatic settings. Unfortunately I cannot take class time to teach individuals how to use their individual camera. In Hand Lettering 201, we'll take your hand lettering skills to the next level by focusing on upper case letters and flourishes. The class will include lots of practice prompts to help you expand your skills and comfortability with a brush pen. Hand Lettering 101 (or a previous hand lettering or calligraphy class by another instructor) is a prerequisite to this class. All the supplies you need to practice during the class will be provided and you will receive a digital copy of all materials to continue practicing after the class. As part of your registration, you’ll receive a packet of information printed and digital that includes every we cover in class, tips and tricks, sample alphabets, and practice pages. This class is scheduled for Wednesday April 24 from 6-7:30pm at the Makery in Downtown State College. Join me (Jaclyn Leff, edible arts instructor) at The Makery in Downtown State College on Saturday, May 25th where we will decorate four stunning sugar cookies and enjoy some delicious tea and (even more) cookies.

What is included in this class?
Four sugar cookies ready for decorating and a cookie box for easy travel, bags of royal icing in various consistencies needed for class, adornments such as sugar lace and flowers, cookie scribes, a take home bag with my royal icing recipe and a few tipless piping bags, and a chance to win a raffle prize.
