We'll be encouraging creativity and individual expression while using a variety of art mediums and techniques.
Cost: $85 for both months. Please include the name and age of the child in the "notes" section when registering. Doors will open 10 minutes prior to class to allow time to sign in and get settled.

On days that there is a preschool class the studio will be open from 10:30-noon to create with your young children. These sessions will not be instructor-led, but different materials are provided each week to create in a kid-friendly space! Come for a short time or stay the whole session!
This is a flexible option for busy families with an unpredictable schedule. You can pre-register or scan the QR code and pay that day in the studio. Cost is $12/day.

Mini Makers aged 2 1/2 - 5 and their grown up are invited to join us as we explore several art stations and connect with other families! We will be using a variety of mediums, techniques, and tools to learn about the creative process while practicing early learning skills.
All supplies are included.
This session will run for 6 weeks on Wednesday afternoons from 1-2:00 PM on January 15, 22, 29 and February 5, 12, 19. All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Please include the name and age of the child in the “notes” section when registering.
Cost is $90.

Fun for the whole family!You will be given a wheel-thrown, leather hard mug with white slip painted on two sides for you to scratch your own unique designs into. This technique is called Sgraffito.
You can do multiple mugs! How fun to create your own set of 4! Simply add more to your cart for check out! There is an $8 discount to add 4.

Beginner Crochet: Moss Stitch Bookmark

For this beginner-friendly first project, we'll create bookmarks from assorted yarn. Later, you can use what you learned to tackle bigger projects like scarves and blankets.

Collage Club

The Makery, 123 S Fraser St, State College, PA 16801, USAJoin us this monthly adult offering of art making and connection! We’ll rip, cut, stick, draw, paint, and have lots of fun while we’re at it.
Please plan to bring a 2-D project and materials of your choice. This could be a sketchbook, a canvas, or any other surface you like. Collage Club is a time to flex your creativity in a low-stress, low-stakes way. We love to make stuff with paper and hope you will too.
We’ll have basic supplies on hand (glue, scissors, some collage papers) but ask that guests come with their own supplies.
Please note: this is an opportunity for gathering and connection - not an instructed class - that is reflected in the registration cost.
We hope you’ll come for the making and stay for the community 🙂

Galentine's Cookie Decorating w/ Heather

123 S Fraser St, State CollegeDon’t miss out on this fun 6-cookie, 4-icing class – fall in love with a new hobby this year!
Interested in learning more about decorated sugar cookies? The Bake Shoppe of Devonshire is here to help! In this 2 hour class, we'll cover the basics of sugar cookies and royal icing! Be sure to read the details below to get all the info you’ll need to know!
Everything you will need is provided from cookies, icing, tools, and a box to take your awesome creations home. Everything is prepped before class – so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!
This class will be held on Thursday, February 13 from 6:30-8:30 pm so we can have enough time to decorate and I can answer questions along the way. It will be held at The Makery in State College at 123 S. Fraser St. Parking is available in the Fraser Street garage, and The Makery has vouchers to cover your parking fees—I’ll be sure to give them out before you leave!
This class is designed for decorators ages 12 and up, and there are up to 20 seats available for this fun evening of cookie decorating! Due to space restrictions, there is not room for parents to stand by and observe. I ask that everyone in attendance purchases a seat, and we will have a blast!
